On April 10, 2012, CGS added diabetic supplies and diabetic shoes information options to our Jurisdiction C Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System. The diabetic supplies option provides claim history for a particular beneficiary for diabetic test strips and lancets billed within 90 days before and after the date of service entered and other diabetic supplies within six months before and after the date of service entered. The diabetic shoe option provides claim history for a particular beneficiary for diabetic shoes and inserts received within the calendar year selected.
As this information is now available on the IVR, beginning June 18, 2012, our Customer Service staff will no longer be able to provide this information through the Customer Service line. Our Customer Service Representatives are available for inquiries that cannot be handled through the IVR.
